Since I turned 30, I’ve been loving minimal (at least minimal-looking) makeup for everyday. I used to take such pride in people thinking “oh, her makeup looks good!” Now, I’m hoping they just think, “oh, her skin looks great.” However, I am very pale naturally and need a bit of bronzer to wake up my complexion and have found that powder bronzers were looking heavy on almost-bare skin.
So, I had been on the hunt for a non-powder bronzer that would last in the North Carolina heat without becoming too greasy. Enter, KatieJaneHughes.
I follow Katie on Instagram (because, #makeupqueen,) and she had used the barePro Glow Bronzer a few times and always loved the finish (at least what it looked like on Instagram with professional lights). Since I am more of a combo/oily skin-type, I was nervous about trying a cream, so this product’s liquid consistency really grabbed me.
After doing some comparison with some cream products, I decided to purchase this bronzer in the shade Faux Tan – and, spoiler alert, I’m in LOVE!
Here is the quick guide:
Packaging | 4/5 (beautiful but not travel friendly) |
Blendability | 4.5/5 |
Longevity | 4/5 |
Payoff | 4/5 |
Cruelty Free? | yes |
Finish | Satin/slight shimmer |
Needless to say, I’ve been wearing this non-stop (when I actually put on makeup). Highly recommend!
